Hey there, Silver ARMY! Is anybody else worried about being able to stand and dance and jump (!) through a 3-hour concert?

Watching the first few performances of the Arirang tour online and in the theatre made it clear that BTS wants us to engage. To receive their energy and send it right back to them.

To put our phones down. Stand up. Sing along.

And for FYA, they want us to jump.

Now, I know my love for Bangtan (and adrenaline) will get me through … but I may not be able to get out of bed the next day.

What’s a fangirl to do?

Face Yourself

My first BTS-adjacent concert was Hope on the Stage in 2025.

I was waaaaaayyy too excited to sit during the show and by the time I got back to my Airbnb, my ankles were swollen and I was entirely pooped.

I was annoyed with myself that I wasn’t physically strong enough to stand through a concert without feeling sore and exhausted the next day.

Ugh.

This time, I want to be stronger. To be used to standing and dancing. To have the endurance to at least bounce during FYA. (I’d love to jump but need to ask my knee if that’s okay.)

So, my plan is to train – gently and gradually – for the 3 weeks leading up to the concert.

To add a gentle stretch and an easy walk to my routine.

To incorporate a little more standing into the activities I’m already doing, like working on my laptop or watching BTS content on YouTube.

To learn some of the choreography for Swim, Hooligan, and 2.0.

And slowly build the endurance to dance all the way through FYA, without needing a paramedic.

I want to fully enjoy the concert and still have the oomph to explore the city the next day. 

That’s why I created a plan to get FIT FOR ARIRANG. A kind of Couch to 5K for the BTS Concert.

I'm Dinah Kate!

I'm a 51-year-old Hobi bias from Houston, Texas. As with most ARMY, I discovered BTS when I needed them most, in January of 2023. Bangtan helped me reclaim my joy and ambition ... and now I want to help other fans achieve their goals, too!

My professional background is in dance, theatre, and education. I've worked as a teacher, writer, choreographer, and performer for 28 years.

I’m also a lifelong student of personal growth and the pursuit of happiness – reading everything I can get my hands on in the realm of habit building, mindfulness, meditation, spirituality, and generally being a better human.

And becoming ARMY has inspired me to turn that information into transformation. To follow BTS's example and as they make their comeback, embark on one of my own!
